Scarcroft is a prosperous village situated on the A58 on the main road to Wetherby. There are some older stone built properties, however some building has taken place in the last 50 years or so which has resulted in some independently designed large detached properties which are set back off the main road.
There are a couple of local shops; however in the main it is the wide open countryside to either side of the village makes it a popular choice with families. |
It does benefit from a pub The Bracken Fox which offers a good selection of food and drink. It has a good beer garden and in the winter it's open log fires are very welcoming. There is also Scarcroft Golf Club that has a very picturesque course. It is a members club but does welcome visitors.
