Moortown is a very popular area of North Leeds and boasts a fine selection of specialist shops and cafés. It has a good range of housing from semi detached to large prestigious detached properties. However, the popularity of this affluent area is reflected in the house prices.
It is a very busy area and there is a good range of shops from delis, banks, estate agents and newsagents to a Marks and Spencer food hall. In addition there is a casino, which is popular with local residents. |
There are a range of local pubs to suit all tastes. Takeaways are available but there are not many restaurants in this area. You need to travel a little further down towards Street Lane, a beautiful thoroughfare that leads down towards Roundhay Park, which has a large selection of restaurants, shops takeaways and bars.
The Moor Allerton centre is minutes away and offers a large Sainsburys, Comet, Blockbusters and local shops. If you enjoy Golf area is served well by local buses into Leeds and Harrogate.
In addition Moortown Golf Club has one of the countries finest championship courses. It is a members club but does welcome visitors.
